Robbie Leonard began his legal career as a Rule 16 student attorney for the Office of the Public Defender while attending the University of Baltimore School of Law.  He continued on as an Assistant Public Defender where he represented thousands of individuals in Baltimore City courts.  At the OPD, Robbie spent years in both the juvenile and adult courts, handling cases from trespass to robbery.  Eventually, Robbie was recruited to work on the Government Relations Team of the OPD to testify in front of the Maryland Legislature on dozens of criminal law bills.
