Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, MaryKatherine moved to Baltimore in 2017 where she attended Loyola University Maryland for her undergraduate degree. She studied Philosophy and Writing to home in on the essential skills required for the researching and writing of legal documents. During her time at Loyola, she worked in the adjacent Govans community where she conducted research on the effect of redlining practices dating back to the 20th century for The Baltimore Story, and assisted community members with job applications. Upon graduation in 2021, she remained in Baltimore and is now attending University of Baltimore School of Law where she is about to complete her 2L year.
